Notice: Introduction of Accommodation Tax (for stays from April 1, 2027)
Thank you for choosing Konansou.
In accordance with the Fujikawaguchiko Town Accommodation Tax Ordinance, an accommodation tax will be levied on stays at lodging facilities in the town, including Konansou, for stays on or after April 1, 2027. We appreciate your kind understanding.
Overview
Tax amount:
200 yen per person, per night (flat rate, regardless of the room charge)
Start date:
Applies to stays on or after April 1, 2027
- For consecutive stays spanning the start date, only the nights from April 1 onward are taxed
- The tax applies based on the date of stay, even if the reservation was made before the start date
Who pays:
All guests whose stay incurs an accommodation charge
- Children are subject to the tax when a child rate or infant rate is charged
- Infants sharing a bed at no charge are not subject to the tax
How it is collected:
Separately from your room charge, at the front desk upon check-in. Konansou collects the tax on behalf of Fujikawaguchiko Town and remits it to the town.
How the Tax Is Used
Revenue funds the town's sustainable tourism initiatives — enhancing the visitor experience, improving tourism infrastructure, addressing overtourism, and preserving the local landscape and environment.
